Today's Tribal Trends

Feathers, moccasins, leather  fringe and colours are things that has seemed to make a big comeback  in fashion this summer...

****The rich culture of the natives determines the cultural heritage of a place.  "Their richness of culture is reflected not only through their art and music but also their clothing and jewellery" and today, designers from all over the world are taking inspiration from the blueprints they left behind.

There are many different kinds of tribal trends and prints avaible in the high street market today such as "Navajo style" or "Ankara".  Here are some of my faves in today's tribal trends and designs...

I came across the above colourfull (Safari print Jacket and Boob Tube) from the Spring and Summer collection on    http://loud-culture.com.   The boob-tube can be teamed with a pair of high-waisted pants, jeans or skirts (for women who prefres not to show too much skin) and the jacket can be teamed with a plain black bodycon dress, or with a plain white or black vest-top and a leather pant for that edgy look. With the variety of colours in the print, you can't go wrong... I love this print and style and I will wear it!!  Like this GLAMAZON AZTEC PRINTED BRALET on the right from http://www.allyfashion.com check it out if u like it...

Like most women, I personally love Boobtube Dresses.  Especially when its designed in a fun, playful and elegant way...

Gossip Girl’s (Blake Lively) works the Tribal trend wearing this semi-demure ‘50s style frock high street striking neon, yellow & navy print mini dress by "Marchesa" at the Fashion’s Night Out red carpet in New York City back in 2010.
In my opinion  this style and print is timeless and very wearable in any season! I love love this!!!

Here is another classic example of one of my favorite Tribal Print.  This elegant Donna Karan’s dress from the collection for women’s tribal fashion, inspired by the Aztec and American Indians which is based on a dark palette and relaxed patterns that make it wearable during the summer and winter.

As tribal fashion can be quite tricky to wear,  it is very important to keep certain things in mind in order to do full justice to the style.

For instance, if your tribal outfit is brightly printed, it is best to complete the look with  a pair plain sexy sandals or pumps.

If you intend to wear rustic tribal jewellery, then maybe that bright top should wait... If you find tribal outfits too loud,  you can still incorporate the Tribal element into your ensemble by sporting a bag, belt, shoes or jewellery in tribal designs or prints.

Here are some of my favs in other Tribal elements...
