Beyoncé Knowles is intent on 'doing something great for someone else.'

Beyoncé Knowles performing "Listen" ...
The superstar filmed her music video for her single I Was Here at a United Nations facility. She also donated the track to World Humanitarian Day, which is celebrated on August 19 as she wants  inspire others to make a difference...''I was definitely attracted to raising awareness of this day of recognition," she told CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

''I found out that 22 people lost their lives helping people in Baghdad and I thought it was such an incredible thing to turn that into something positive and try to include the world in doing something great for someone else".

''I Was Here says I want to leave my footprints in the sands of time'', and it's basically all of our dreams [about] leaving our mark on the world.  We all want to know that our life meant something and that we did something for someone else and that we spread positivity, no matter how big or how small, so the song is perfect for Humanitarian Day, and in my opinion it is also a very inspiring song for the entire nation.

When i first listened to this song, it brought tears to my eyes, I felt alot of emotions and every time I listen to the words in the song, I always get a scene of aspiration and happiness.  Beyonce goes on to say how she feels about the (UN wanting to include the whole world was something important), and that's what she represent!

Have Your Say...
