SHE'S BACK!!!

Debuting her new album "Two Eleven" and soon to be released in October 2012. Brandy released her second single "Put It Down" featuring the amazing Chris Brown...

The beautiful sensational RnB and Television sweetheart is finally ready to continue her journey as an iconic superstar and I couldn't be more excited!!!

We all know of  the unfortunate tragic accident Superstar "Brandy" was  involved in, back in December 2006. Brandy has since faced a lot of challenges both in her career and personal life. In December 2008, She recorded her fifth album "Human" which didn't do too well.

This album was recorded a few months before she was due to face a wrongful death lawsuit by the husband of the woman who died in the accident.  These were challenging times for Brandy and I am happy she is finally getting on with her life...

Here in this exclusive MTV interview http://www.mtv.com/artists/brandy Brandy opened up her feelings about her life since her career began, the accident, her (false marriage) and the death of her mentor "Whitney Huston".

But great things are happening for Brandy now and I am loving her her debut single "Put It Down" featuring Chris Brizy :)
The video was Shot by Hype Williams, and I must say unlike the recent song she recorded with singer Monica (It All Belongs To Me). This record is hot! It is so current and edgy and isn't the Brandy that I am used to hearing, but damn I love the sound of this record.  I also would have rather hear her (and Brown) sing than rap, but this record is the reason its impossible to stop using the word swagger:)

Here is a footage from behind the scene of the new single "Put It Down" featuring Chris Brizy...

Her style in this video is cool, it shows a different and edger look on her and truly emphasises today's high street fashion...

Here Brandy Rocks the zebra Print pants by "Roberto Cavalli". This image from the video shot show Brandy singing next to Chris Brown in this pair of $865 Roberto Cavalli pants,  Crafted out of canvas, with two rear pockets and a tapered leg. Check it out here RobertoCavalli.com

I love this pair of Leopard Printed Heelless Sculpted Wedge Boots Brandy wears in this image. The boots are by "Giuseppe Zanotti" and priced at 1195.00!  Extremely expensive in my opinion but they look fab and she's definitely still rocking the "long braids" just like old times... :)

Her debut album "Two Eleven" which represents the month and date of her birthday, February 11. This date  is also the day her mentor and friend Whitney Houston passed away.

The album features the Chris Brown-assisted single “Put It Down” and “It All Belongs to Me,” her duet with Monica, along with contributions from Bangladesh, Frank Ocean, Rico Love, Sean Garrett, Hit-Boy, and more...

In an interview with  Rap-Up TV, the 33 years old superstar said  “It’s just gonna be a different album, but of course expressing the love that I feel now and the struggles and different situations that I’ve gone through in the past,” the 33-year-old singer told Rap-Up TV. “My music always tends to be the soundtrack to my life and definitely inspired by what I see other people go through as well—gritty, edgy, different”.

I love Brandy aka "The Vocal Bible " and I love that she is trying to go in a new direction, but I hope we can also get some old fashion Brandy that we all know and love on the album as well!! I am Really looking forward to it...

Enjoy the exclusive new single here... Brandy Feat Chris Brown "Put it Down"

Today's Tribal Trends

Feathers, moccasins, leather  fringe and colours are things that has seemed to make a big comeback  in fashion this summer...

****The rich culture of the natives determines the cultural heritage of a place.  "Their richness of culture is reflected not only through their art and music but also their clothing and jewellery" and today, designers from all over the world are taking inspiration from the blueprints they left behind.

There are many different kinds of tribal trends and prints avaible in the high street market today such as "Navajo style" or "Ankara".  Here are some of my faves in today's tribal trends and designs...

I came across the above colourfull (Safari print Jacket and Boob Tube) from the Spring and Summer collection on    http://loud-culture.com.   The boob-tube can be teamed with a pair of high-waisted pants, jeans or skirts (for women who prefres not to show too much skin) and the jacket can be teamed with a plain black bodycon dress, or with a plain white or black vest-top and a leather pant for that edgy look. With the variety of colours in the print, you can't go wrong... I love this print and style and I will wear it!!  Like this GLAMAZON AZTEC PRINTED BRALET on the right from http://www.allyfashion.com check it out if u like it...

Like most women, I personally love Boobtube Dresses.  Especially when its designed in a fun, playful and elegant way...

Gossip Girl’s (Blake Lively) works the Tribal trend wearing this semi-demure ‘50s style frock high street striking neon, yellow & navy print mini dress by "Marchesa" at the Fashion’s Night Out red carpet in New York City back in 2010.
In my opinion  this style and print is timeless and very wearable in any season! I love love this!!!

Here is another classic example of one of my favorite Tribal Print.  This elegant Donna Karan’s dress from the collection for women’s tribal fashion, inspired by the Aztec and American Indians which is based on a dark palette and relaxed patterns that make it wearable during the summer and winter.

As tribal fashion can be quite tricky to wear,  it is very important to keep certain things in mind in order to do full justice to the style.

For instance, if your tribal outfit is brightly printed, it is best to complete the look with  a pair plain sexy sandals or pumps.

If you intend to wear rustic tribal jewellery, then maybe that bright top should wait... If you find tribal outfits too loud,  you can still incorporate the Tribal element into your ensemble by sporting a bag, belt, shoes or jewellery in tribal designs or prints.

Here are some of my favs in other Tribal elements...

This is a Nasha - Black Dereon Gladiator wedge for women.  This can be peered with a plain casual or dressy summer dress.

I love this Supra Assault “Navajo” Black & White Tribal print shoes for men, from
This piece is so cool and edge for men that likes Tribal style. It will go with almost everything in your wardrobe and it is timeless...

This eye catching Tribal Beaded Clutch by "Aldo" is simply beautiful... It can be worn by all types of women, young or older!  Check it out on www.aldoshoes.com

This vintage House of Harlow 1960 Tribal Brown Resin Horn Earrings from www.polyvore.com is also an elegant Tribal accessory many women can wear either casually or on occasions.
